The Canine Heartworm Antigen Rapid Test
Canine Heartworm is a kind of Canine blood parasite caused by mosquito bites. Its etiology is Dirofilaria immitis, which often infects the right ventricle and pulmonary artery of dogs. It can infect dogs of any age as well as cats.At the early stage of the disease, most of the dogs showed no obvious discomfort and gradually showed symptoms such as fatigue, cough and shortness of breath, while at the later stage, there were cardiopulmonary failure, anemia, hydrops in the lungs, jaundice, liver and kidney failure and even death.
The Canine Heartworm Antigen Rapid Test is for in vitro veterinary diagnosis use only. All result should be considered with other clinical information available with veterinarian. It is suggested to apply a further confirmative method when positive result was observed.
